Certarus is the North American leader in providing low carbon energy solutions through CNG, RNG, and hydrogen platforms. The Lead Regional Technician will head a team at Certarus hubs and customer sites, overseeing installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment.

The role requires traveling regionally, mentoring technicians, managing inventory, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance under the Regional Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technician field role.
• Associates of Applied Science in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field is an asset.
• Troubleshooting regulators, valves, instrumentation and electrical; experience with gas processing equipment.
• Positive attitude with strong communication & customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the plant and fleet operations regionally, maintaining a safe environment.
• Oversee and mentor the regional technicians team.
• Ensure inventory of equipment and parts is up to date.
• Provide mechanical and technical services on process equipment and gas compression.
• Set up and breakdown of pressure reduction equipment at customer sites.
• Adhere to internal policies and safety/regulatory standards.

Summary:

The Lead Regional Technician will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Certarus equipment at our CNG filling station and customer sites. The position plays a key role in supporting CNG delivery operations while providing overall technical assistance to the company and our customers. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager

Schedule:

• Daily regional travel between Certarus sites, with a potential to travel outside of the assigned region is possible
• This position provides a set shift schedule that allows you to get home each day or night

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor the overall plant and fleet operations in the region, while contributing to a safe working environment
• Oversee and provide mentorship to the team of regional technicians
• Ensure inventory of equipment and parts are update to date and accurate
• Lending mechanical and technical services on process equipment and gas compression at Certarus hubs and customer sites
• Setup and breakdown of pressure reduction equipment to/from customer locations
• Ensure that internal policies and government safety and regulatory standards are met
• Other duties as designated

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technician field role
• Associates of Applied Science in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field is an asset
• Troubleshooting experience with regulators, valves, instrumentation and electrical and experience in gas processing equipment including production, field gas or gas compression
• Positive attitude with excellent communication & customer service skills
• Must have and maintain and valid driver’s license. CDL driver’s license is an asset
