Job summary

Certarus Fort Lupton Hub seeks a Lead Regional Technician to head a team responsible for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Certarus equipment at the Fort Lupton CNG filling station and customer sites. You will support CNG delivery operations and mentor staff under the Regional Operations Manager.

This role involves day shifts with weekend work and some night coverage, plus daily travel within the region and occasional travel outside.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technician role with leadership responsibilities.
• Minimum 1 year of Certarus experience preferred.
• Associates of Applied Science in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field is an asset.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of regional technicians and mentor staff.
• Monitor and improve safety and efficiency of plant and fleet operations.
• Create and manage the regional technician schedule.
• Maintain equipment and parts inventory accuracy.
• Provide hands-on mechanical support for process equipment and gas compression.
• Set up and breakdown of pressure reduction equipment at customer sites.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

Summary

The Lead Regional Technician will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Certarus equipment at our CNG filling station and customer sites. The position plays a key role in supporting CNG delivery operations while providing overall technical assistance to the company and our customers. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

Schedule

• This position is scheduled for day shifts including weekends with occasional night shift coverage. Shift schedules will be determined by Hub Management based on operational needs.
• Daily travel between Certarus sites within the assigned region. Occasionally travel outside of the assigned region may also be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor the overall plant and fleet operations in the region, while contributing to a safeworking environment.
• Oversee and provide mentorship to the team of regional technicians.
• Create and monitor schedule for the team.
• Ensure inventory of equipment and parts are up to date and accurate.
• Lending mechanical and technical services on process equipment and gas compression at Certarus hubs and customer sites.
• Set up and breakdown of pressure reduction equipment to/from customer locations.
• Ensure that internal policies and government safety and regulatory standards are met.
• Other duties as designated.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technician field role.
• Minimum 1 year of Certarus experience.
• Associates of Applied Science in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field is an asset.
• Troubleshooting experience with regulators, valves, instrumentation and electrical and experience in gas processing equipment including production, field gas or gas compression.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Must have and maintain and valid driver’s license. CDL driver’s license is an asset.
