Florence County SC is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to manage the daily operations of the Splash Pad and Climbing Wall at Lynches River County Park. The role requires supervising staff, scheduling, fee administration, safety reporting, and coordination with park leadership.

Qualifications include at least one year of supervisory experience, First Aid/CPR, and Certified Pool Operator within one year. Evening and weekend shifts are required, with training for climbing wall duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Climbing Wall experience preferred.
• Must possess, or be able to pass, First Aid and CPR certification upon hire.
• Must possess, or be able to pass, a Certified Pool Operator course within one year of hire.
• Must be able to pass annual Climbing Wall training.
• Evening, weekday and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff; develops, implements, and monitors schedules for Splash Pad and Climbing Wall staff.
• Collects fees, makes change; completes all related documentation; reconciles and secures funds.
• Maintains knowledge of safety procedures; responds to incidents and weather declarations; completes reports.
• Assists with daily monitoring of facility equipment and chemical testing; maintains records.
• Communicates with staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Verifies custodial and housekeeping activities for cleanliness and safety.
