Job summary

Navy Installations Command is seeking an experienced Community Recreation Program Manager at NAS Key West to oversee a diverse year-round recreation program within the Bowling Center. The role requires planning, promoting, and implementing MWR activities while managing staff and operations.

The incumbent will lead supervisors, coordinate partnerships with on-base and off-base organizations, and ensure safety, budgeting, and program standards are met.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreational programs and activities.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Experience in program planning and leadership.
• Ability to build partnerships via MWR agreements.
• Ability to maintain a clear and accurate database.
• Experience budgeting and staff planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage supervisory duties including staffing and performance.
• Lead and instruct staff in workshops and events.
• Plan, promote and implement Community Recreation programs.
• Coordinate leisure activities and classes.
• Ensure facilities meet safety standards and conduct DAR.
• Oversee check-in/check-out and POS transactions.
• Prepare after-action reports and data metrics.
