Job summary

ByLabs in Seattle is seeking a Principal Recommendation Platform Engineer to upgrade our core recommendation architecture and transform our rule-based personalization into a real-time ML platform serving multiple domains including trading products, content feeds, and community.

You will collaborate with data science, growth, and ops teams to build high-throughput, low-latency services, feature stores, and pipelines.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years building recommender systems at a consumer internet company.
• Led or contributed to real-time personalization platforms.
• Experience building feature/platform from ground up is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-throughput, low-latency recommender services and reliability.
• Build stream/batch pipelines and a Feature Store for online/offline features.
• Identify architectural needs across domains and build reusable platform capabilities.
• Develop and optimize core components and integrate AI features including LM/agents.
