Job summary

Millennium in NYC seeks a hands-on Technical Lead for the SPEED Market Data team to own and drive low-latency C++ systems, architecting, implementing, monitoring, and supporting real-time infrastructure.

You will lead end-to-end workstreams across design, delivery, and operations, coordinating with hardware, software, and trading desks to ensure a robust, scalable market data platform.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field with strong data structures and OOP in modern C++.
• Experience with low-latency, high-throughput environments and Linux internals.
• Proven technical lead or senior engineer owning complex systems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own a major market data workstream from design to operations.
• Collaborate across hardware and software teams to build real-time data processing and distribution systems.
• Lead new technical initiatives, set standards, and establish best practices.
• Architect components for historical data and simulations to boost research productivity.
• Optimize performance with low-latency techniques and system tuning.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design reviews.
