The Walt Disney Company’s ESPN division seeks a Supervising Real Time Graphics Developer to lead the creation, deployment and maintenance of high-end real-time graphics for live production. You will manage a team, own specialty segments such as Ross Xpression or Vizrt, and drive plant-wide workflows, while coordinating with executives and sponsors to ensure on-time delivery.

Preferred Charlotte, NC location with possible Bristol, CT basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of graphics experience in live production; at least 2 years in leadership.
• Lead, manage and train developers at all levels.
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects in various roles (PM/lead/individual).
• Expert knowledge of real-time graphics platforms.
• Expert knowledge of broadcast/television production tech.
• Strong 2D/3D animation skills and typography expertise.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

• Provide leadership for department growth; drive innovation and troubleshoot systems.
• Own and manage a specialty segment such as Ross Xpression or Vizrt.
• Manage a team of direct reports and plan complex Ross Xpression directories.
• Collaborate on plant-wide workflows and training programs.
• Translate creative direction into high-quality design, animation, and layouts.
• Lead hardware/software upgrade planning and studio builds.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to onboarding programs.
• Maintain ESPN on-air product quality and graphic look across projects.
