Job summary

Jobtailor in Dearborn, MI is seeking a seasoned Real-Time Asset Implementation Engineer to partner with creative leads and engineers to bring design intent to life.

You will own day-to-day execution for the core 3D Digital Twin framework, optimize pipelines, and drive rapid prototyping across in-vehicle and mobile ecosystems. A proven track record in Unreal Engine, C++, and Python is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Education.
• 3+ years of experience in technical design or real-time asset implementation.
• Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine/OpenGL and standard 3D DCC software such as Maya.
• Experience supporting technical art, asset preparation, and rigging workflows.
• Comfortable utilizing multiple rapid prototyping solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and shift priorities across active environments.
• Solid foundation in version control, complex feature packaging, asset delivery tracking, and pipeline documentation.
• Experience collaborating across creative, engineering, and product disciplines.
• Proficiency in Blueprinting and procedural workflows; strong understanding of C++, Python, and general scripting.
• Experience building and maintaining custom engine plugins.
• Experience with Rive or similar real-time animation tools for state machine logic and interactive motion design.
• Integration of AI tools to drive pipeline efficiencies.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Partner with creative leads and engineers to bring design intent to life.
• Present technical strategies, prototypes, and pipeline updates to leadership.
• Own day-to-day execution and system optimization for the core 3D Digital Twin framework.
• Proactively resolve technical bottlenecks.
• Author and maintain technical implementation documentation, best practices, and pipeline guidelines.
• Drive technical workflow improvements around rapid prototyping, immersive storytelling, and team output.
• Understand system behaviors to support cohesive feature design.
• Adapt 3D asset pipelines for deployment across in-vehicle and mobile ecosystems.
