Job summary

Vulcan Elements seeks a hands-on Machining Manager to lead day-to-day operations, producing on-spec magnet shapes from sintered rare-earth material. You will supervise machinists, coordinate with coating and customer-facing teams, and ensure safe, reliable production.

Based in Four Oaks, NC with relocation to Benson, NC upon facility completion, the role requires CAD/CAM familiarity, GD&T, and strong safety leadership to drive cost and lead-time efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Hands-on experience operating precision machining or grinding operations.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and GD&T.
• Strong safety and leadership experience on production floors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and manage a team of machinists and operators.
• Plan and execute production runs across multiple machining processes to meet quality and schedule objectives.
• Establish SOPs and workholding solutions for magnet finishing.
