Job summary

AdventHealth in Louisville, CO is seeking a Radiology Technologist to support imaging services across the department. The role focuses on obtaining high-quality images, adhering to ALARA principles, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.

You will collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure accurate imaging, timely exams, and seamless patient care, while training and coaching new hires and radiology students as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R)(ARRT) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1+ year radiology experience required.
• Ability to train and coach new hires or radiology students.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles and regulatory/accreditation standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
• Submit high-quality images with correct lead markers and patient data/history.
• Educate patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow.
• Support scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation.
• Practice infection control standards and use approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other providers to ensure appropriate imaging and patient care.
• Ensure quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow.
• Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Lead daily radiology department workflow of patients, technologists, and students.
• Other duties as assigned.
