Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to accurately apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging, delivering high-quality radiographs while minimizing patient exposure.

The role requires extensive anatomical positioning, radiation safety, and the ability to adjust factors based on image quality and patient factors. Experience in OR and outpatient settings is valued, with ARRT credentials and BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT credentialed in Radiography.
• BLS certification.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of RIS and HIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with accurate ionizing radiation application.
• Positions patient and equipment to clearly demonstrate the area examined with extensive anatomical positioning.
• Provides radiation protection for patient and staff per safety standards.
• Adjusts technical factors using independent judgment and anatomy knowledge for proper exposure.
• Ensures staffing and equipment availability for all OR cases and guides Radiology staff in the OR and outpatient services.
