Job summary

Nutex Health is seeking a Lead Radiology Technologist to supervise imaging services across X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound in a dynamic hospital setting. You will ensure high-quality imaging, enforce safety standards, and support a culture of excellence.

You will mentor staff, manage scheduling and workflow, and drive policy development to support a compliant, state-of-the-art radiology department. ARRT or RDMS certification with 3–5 years of modality experience and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in modalities such as CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound, verified by ARRT or RDMS certification.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of one year hospital-based imaging experience.
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with relevant training and experience.
  • ARRT or RDMS certification.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Multimodality Technologists must have certification in two or more modalities or completed an accredited cross-training program.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate radiology operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control processes.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound, as certified.
  • Develop, implement, and update imaging policies, procedures, and protocols for a new hospital setting.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate imaging staff, fostering a safety- and quality-focused culture.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, radiation safety, and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor imaging equipment; coordinate with vendors for servicing and repairs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and leadership to optimize patient care and imaging services.
  • Participate in readiness activities for state and accreditation surveys.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound, as certified. Develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to a new hospital setting. Train, mentor, and evaluate imaging staff, promoting a team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, radiation safety protocols, and accreditation requirements. Maintain and monitor imaging equipment, coordinating with vendors for servicing, calibration, and repairs. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to optimize patient care and streamline imaging services. Participate in readiness activities for state and accreditation surveys to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.
