Job summary

Starkey Ranch Hospital seeks a Lead Radiology Technologist to oversee radiology operations, schedule workflows, and ensure quality control. You will perform imaging across X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound as certified, while developing policies for a new hospital setting.

You will train and mentor imaging staff, uphold radiation safety standards, and coordinate with physicians and leadership to optimize patient care. Strong leadership and up-to-date radiology knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical program.
  • ARRT or RDMS certification is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Two-modality certification or cross-training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise radiology operations, scheduling, workflow, and quality control.
  • Perform imaging procedures across X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound as certified.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures, and protocols for a new hospital.

If so, we are looking for a dedicated Lead Radiology Technologist to join our team. Your expertise in diagnostic imaging, combined with strong leadership skills, will be essential in delivering high-quality imaging services and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate radiology operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control processes.Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound, as certified.Develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to a new hospital setting.Train, mentor, and evaluate imaging staff, promoting a team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality.Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, radiation safety protocols, and accreditation requirements.Maintain and monitor imaging equipment, coordinating with vendors for servicing, calibration, and repairs.Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to optimize patient care and streamline imaging services.Participate in readiness activities for state and accreditation surveys to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.Skills and Qualities:Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.Compassionate, patient, and capable of handling diverse patient populations with empathy.Up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements and best practices in radiological technology.Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.Qualifications:3–5 years of experience in modalities such as CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound, verified by ARRT or RDMS certification.Prior leadership or supervisory experience is required.Minimum of one year of hospital-based imaging experience.An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with relevant training and experience.Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).BLS certification is required.Multimodality Technologists must have certification in two or more modalities or have completed an accredited cross-training program.Working Conditions:Potential exposure to body fluids and infectious diseases, necessitating strict adherence to infection control protocols.#MK0117
