The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Radiology Technologist – Lead to coordinate OR coverage and support busy imaging services. You will manage staff schedules, ensure high-quality examinations, and assist radiologists with Arthrogram procedures while maintaining ALARA standards.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT certification and 1+ year of experience; PACS and HIPAA knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent certification with ARRT certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience preferred.
• Radiology Technologist – Lead background is desirable.

Description du poste

• Coordinates daily case coverage in collaboration with the OR Charge RN.
• Creates and publishes staff schedule and call schedule.
• Has crucial conversations with staff as needed.
• Correctly identifies patient and corresponding exam. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Demonstrates proper positioning, radiographic techniques, and cassette screen/grid combinations to ensure high quality examinations.
• Practice standard precautions and maintain infection control standards.
• Educate patient regarding procedures and related information.
• Properly operate equipment as demonstrated by observation and audit.
• Cleans equipment and stocks supplies as needed.
• Demonstrate cooperative, positive and professional patient care and customer service.
• Consistently maintain complete confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other sensitive material which may jeopardize the privacy of others.
• Perform and support quality assurance/CQI programs and processes.
• Demonstrate commitment to organizational goals.
• Attend all mandatory in-services and training.
• Assist the Radiologist with Arthrogram procedures. Must demonstrate appropriate sterile procedure skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Completion of Associates program in Radiologic Technology or Certification from a Credentialled Radiology School, with ARRT Certification.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one year of previous experience is preferred.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of PACS.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of HIPAA.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

May occasionally be exposed to radiation, poor ventilation and fumes.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

Work requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires lifting, pushing and pulling of approximately 50 lbs.
