Job summary

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to direct daily Imaging Services workflow and collaborate with supervisors and managers. You will oversee patient flow, scheduling, and image quality within a supportive team environment.

The role requires ARRT certification, Alabama licensure, BLS, and at least one year in radiology. You will contribute to safety, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Active Alabama Radiologic Technologist licensure and ARRT certification.
• Current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
• 1 year of experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily workflow of the Imaging team and assists the Imaging Services leadership.
• Plans and prioritizes exam scheduling and processing to support patient and physician needs.
• Ensures images meet established Quality Control standards.
• Maintains detailed documentation and charge management through the Quality Control Program.
• Assists with evaluations/coaching and participates in process improvements initiatives.
• Uses radiology computer systems effectively and safely administers contrast medication.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure and ensures patient safety.

Position Summary

Directs daily workflow and assists the Imaging Services Supervisor, Imaging Services Manager, and/or Imaging Services Director.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Adheres to Baptist Health mission statement and strategic imperatives.
• Assists with education and training of all team members.
• Directs and assists with daily workflow of the Imaging team to include patient flow, supply ordering, staff assignments, and resolution of customer service issues.
• Plans and prioritizes exam scheduling and processing that support the needs of the patients and physicians.
• Ensures images meet the established Quality Control standards.
• Assists manager in holdings self and team accountable for producing quality images, detailed documentation, and charge management through the Quality Control Program.
• Provides input to supervisor for evaluations/coaching plans.
• Actively participates in departmental projects and process improvements initiatives.
• Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration.
• Administers medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others. Assists in supervision of student technologists.
• Ensures the safety of all customers.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements.

• Maintains cleanliness and organization.
• Reports equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains a cooperative work environment in the department and reports noncompliance to supervisor or manager.
• Maintains supply inventory for section, ordering additional supplies.
• Provides patient transport.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure/Certification

• Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Alabama and required
• Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and required
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification required

Experience

• 1 Year of experience in Radiology is required. required
