Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in acute care and fluoroscopy.
• Demonstrated diagnostic imaging competencies.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits leadership skills and mentors staff.
• Trains and mentors new staff and students.
• Maintains competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures correct patient identification and prepares patients for exams.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews image quality.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines.
• Completes studies timely without compromising patient care.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Performs infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, and QC programs.
