Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Radiation Therapy Team Lead who will guide daily therapy operations, review treatment plans, and ensure accurate delivery of radiation therapy. The role requires oversight of staff, coordination with physics, nursing, and clerical teams, and maintaining patient-focused care throughout treatment cycles.

You will mentor staff, participate in compliance and quality initiatives, and contribute to patient satisfaction outcomes while ensuring adherence to protocols

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Illinois IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety License is required.
• ARRT certification is required/preferred.
• BLS from American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Attends departmental morning huddle and is point person for department.
• Reviews radiation doses and simulations from plans.
• Develops patient treatment plans and ensures effective delivery of therapy.
• Administers radiation therapy per plan and monitors patient reactions.
• Maintains communication with patient and family, explains procedures, and provides reassurance.
• Operates and maintains equipment and notifies staff of problems.
• Charts treatment parameters and records daily information.
