Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• State of Illinois IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety License.
• ARRT certification.
• BLS through American Heart Association.
• Five years’ experience as a Radiation Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Attends departmental morning huddle and is point person for department.
• Reviews radiation doses and treatment plans.
• Conduct simulations to develop patient treatment plans.
• Administers radiation therapy per treatment plan.
• Maintains communication with patient and family, explains procedures.
• Charts treatment parameters and records daily treatment information.
• Mentor/role model for clinical and technical practices.
• Coordinates patient scheduling and staff assignments.
• Participates in ACoS, ACR, and Joint Commission surveys as necessary.

Skills

Five years’ experience as a Radiation 

Education

2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent

Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology Program

State of Illinois IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety License
