Job description

Job Summary: Completes and performs diversified technical duties including simulation and administration of radiation therapy treatments in accordance with the prescription and as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. Oversees and supervises the activities of other radiation therapists to assure safe and efficient clinic operation. Participates in the coordination of care. Provides leadership and assists with departmental operations consistent with corporate and departmental mission and values.

Qualifications: Holds current ARRT registration to practice as a Radiation Therapist. An Associate in Applied Science in Radiation Therapy Technology. At least five years of experience as a therapist in radiation oncology. Thorough knowledge of various radiation oncology procedures. Considerable skill in planning and organizing work. Ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians, department heads, and families. Considerable ability to coach and motivate people.
