Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Principal Statistical Programmer for R Development in Durham, NC to join our research team. You will develop and implement statistical methodologies, build R packages for clinical trial analysis, and create R-Shiny dashboards to address key clinical questions.

You will lead in R deployment, train team members, ensure data integrity, and prepare submission-ready outputs (ADaM, TLFs). The role requires strong R expertise and collaboration with statisticians and data management

Qualifications

• Strong experience in R programming for clinical trial data.
• Proficient with R-Shiny and R Markdown for reporting and dashboards.
• Knowledge of CDISC data structures and ADaM/TLF outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update or validate R packages for clinical trial analysis.
• Build complex R-Shiny applications to address clinical questions and regulatory needs.
• Generate submission-ready statistical outputs using R Markdown or similar tools.
• Lead implementation in R and train other team members.
• Write or review specifications and documentation for applications.
• Collaborate with clinical, statistical and data management stakeholders.
• Create global tools to increase efficiency of the Statistical Programming group.
• Conduct statistical programming work of clinical data using R.
• Create/validate ADaM/TLFs and related outputs aligned with study documentation.
• Collaborate with peers and statisticians to ensure quality and submission readiness.
