Job summary

Kitron Group is seeking a Quality Inspector Lead for our on-site Windber, PA facility. You will oversee daily inspection activities, train inspectors, and ensure products meet customer and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inspection techniques, documentation, and quality systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret product requirements and determine product quality.
• Ability to sit, stand, and perform inspection activities for extended periods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and support team development.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of products and assemblies.
• Lead and coordinate daily activities of the Quality Inspection team.
• Assign inspection work based on production priorities and customer requirements.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Quality Inspectors.
• Review inspection records and ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
• Record product information in ERP systems and other quality applications.
• Utilize microscopes and other inspection tools to verify product compliance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, IPC, AS9100, and customer-specific quality standards.
• Investigate quality issues and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Escalate recurring or significant quality concerns to management.
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
• Assist in developing and improving inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality processes.
• Monitor calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment.
• Promote and maintain 5S and workplace organization standards.
• Partner with production teams to improve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with performance feedback and onboarding of new inspection personnel.
