Job summary

SL TENNESSEE seeks a seasoned Quality Engineer to develop and maintain quality methodologies and ensure adherence to QA standards in automotive manufacturing. You will lead root cause analyses, support APQP/PPAP, and mentor junior Quality Engineers while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include FMEA/Control Plan work, managing RMA processes, and driving 6S initiatives to reduce scrap and improve process reliability in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Thorough knowledge of quality systems and procedures.
• Ability to lead quality initiatives and work independently or in a team.
• Solid understanding of APQP and Customer PPAP requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analyses for production and warranty failures.
• Support quality engineering tasks throughout programs life cycle.
• Develop and implement quality control methodologies.
• Prepare and review PPAP/ISIR packages for customers.
• Drive 6S initiatives and assist in ECO coordination.
