Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, invites a Principal Quality Engineer to Alameda, CA, within Diabetes Care. You’ll drive investigations of complaint trends, develop test methods to uncover root causes, and collaborate across R&D and Operations to improve products and processes.

You will lead complex investigations with SQL, Python and PowerBI data analysis, shaping the quality program and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of quality experience in an FDA/ISO regulated environment.
• Experience in leading teams, organizing projects and coaching team members.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, PowerBI

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the quality system effectively.
• Investigate complaints; identify root/potential causes of trends.
• Guide complaint trend investigations; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Translate business strategy into objectives and daily activities.
• Anticipate future directions and adjust processes accordingly.
• Communicate directional changes and secure support for changes.
• Serve as technical lead for investigations; liaise with R&D, Operations, and Quality functions.
• Disseminate investigation results to SMEs; structure cross-functional studies.
• Follow through on project goals; share resources and accountability.
• Demonstrate strong project management; multitask and set priorities.
