GE Aerospace leads the quality engineering function for additive manufacturing, ensuring products meet standards within GE’s quality system. The role drives process improvements, ownership of MRB, and audits while leading cross-functional teams to deliver robust quality outcomes.

The Lead Quality Engineer will establish inspection plans, use statistics to analyze capability, and guide strategic initiatives for new additive technologies to strengthen the site’s quality priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Quality)
• At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Quality

Responsibilities

The Lead Quality Engineer is responsible for product quality review associated with the additive manufacturing process and GE Aerospace quality system requirements. Ensures that projects and products are capable and will meet specified standards. Demonstrates leadership by communicating business goals and processes effectively. Creates strategies that further the sites quality priorities and improvements.

• Leverage FLIGHT DECK to lead problem solving and process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in strategic initiatives for new technologies related to additive manufacturing processes
• Ownership of Material Review Board (MRB) tickets
• Engage in site audit initiatives; perform work station audits and support regulatory and special process audits.
• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Communicate and participate in team, site, IPT, and business initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Quality)
• At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Quality
