Clarios, LLC is seeking a Quality Data & Systems Engineer to transform quality data into actionable insights across a global manufacturing network. You will lead the quality software stack, drive data-driven decision making, and support calibration and testing processes to ensure product quality and process excellence.
In this role, you will collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and IT teams to implement standardized practices and maintain IATF 16949 compliance.
Reporting to the Quality Systems leadership team, this role plays a critical part in the Clarios Quality Operating System by transforming quality data into actionable insights that help improve product quality, process performance, and manufacturing excellence across the organization. Lead business support for quality software systems and databases (including Proficy, GageTalker, and reporting platforms) to ensure accurate data collection, SPC analysis, and reporting across multiple Clarios plants.
Drive data-driven decision making by developing and maintaining key quality metrics, dashboards, and reports that enable plants to improve process capability, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of quality databases while partnering with IT and plant teams on system implementations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
Analyze process and product data using statistical methods and quality tools to identify trends, improve process performance, and support achievement of quality KPIs, customer requirements, and compliance standards.
Support deployment of quality best practices, standardized procedures, and robust quality systems throughout the organization while helping maintain compliance with IATF 16949 and automotive customer-specific requirements.
Provide technical support for calibration systems, laboratory equipment, electrical testing processes, and process verification activities to ensure measurement accuracy and product quality across manufacturing operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, or related functions within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
Strong experience with data analysis, quality reporting systems, databases, and advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, Statistical Process Control (SPC), quality systems, and automotive customer requirements.
Additional Required Skills Experience working with Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience developing reports, metrics, and dashboards to support business decisions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and IT teams.
Knowledge of process control techniques and quality methodologies.
Automotive manufacturing experience.
Experience supporting quality software systems such as Proficy, GageTalker, or similar manufacturing applications.
Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basic (VB) programming.
Experience supporting calibration systems, laboratory testing, and electrical compliance programs.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other quality-related certifications.
Experience leading quality improvement projects and implementing best practices across multiple facilities.
