Job summary

Click Bond Inc is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to lead the inspection team and apply expertise in aerospace drawings to ensure product conformance. You will perform audits, train inspectors, and drive continuous improvement within QEMS.

Strong RCA capability and experience with CMM and MAX/MRP are valued. Responsibilities include documenting inspection results, coordinating schedules, and supporting management with data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce reports of inspection acceptance or non-conformance and update records.
• Coordinate inspection schedule, priorities and staff assignments.
• Prepare and deliver training materials on quality standards.
• Serve as QA resource for problem identification, resolution and loss reporting.
• Communicate problems to area of occurrence and support RCA activities.
• Stamp approval on procured or internal products and shipping docs.
• Review QA data to ensure compliance with policies.
• Report quality issues and trends to management.
• Ensure inspectors follow QEMS procedures during audits.
• Operate inspection devices (micrometers, calipers, CMM) to verify conformance.
• Assist with documentation of inspection processes.
• Complete projects as directed by supervision.
• Maintain working knowledge of QEMS.

Leads and directs inspection team and lends advanced knowledge and experience of Click Bond Inc. parts to develop protocols and standards for the Quality Assurance Inspection personnel. When required by reasonable availability, inspects or measures internally manufactured products or procured products and materials to verify compliance with Click Bond or customer furnished engineering drawings and procedures. Serves as primary contact for problems found by the inspection team. Performs process audits to ensure compliance to documented procedures. Coordinates training of inspectors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Produce reports of inspection acceptance or non-conformance and make appropriate computer entries and provide inspection support as necessary.Coordinates the inspection schedule, priorities and staff assignments, as directed by the Supervisor.May compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities to the inspection team.Serves as a Quality Assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.Communicates problems to area of occurrence, help facilitate and document Root Cause Corrective Action activitiesStamp mark of approval for procured product, internally produced product or appropriate shipping documentation.Reviews data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and proceduresReports to management on quality issues, trends and losses.Stays active and alert to all processes throughout the production day.Assures that inspection personnel are following controlled QEMS (Quality and Environmental Management Systems) procedures by performing process audits.Use inspection devices (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, vision systems, CMM (Coordinate Measurements Machine etc.) to determine product compliance with engineering drawings, purchase orders and associated aerospace specifications.Assists with documentation of inspection processCompletes projects as directed by Supervisor or management.Maintains a working knowledge of the QEMS.Makes entries in the Click Bond MRP computer systemOther duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Able to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, procedures and written information.Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in decision-making process.Consistently at work and on time.Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments.Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person of an alternate plan.Has working knowledge of Lean Principles and process improvement methodologies.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents such as aerospace procedures, engineering requirements, technical procedures, safety rules, and quality assurance manual.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.Speaks clearly and confidently in all situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Understanding of statistical process control as relates to manufacturing and quality assurance.COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer navigation skills as well as experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MAX/MRP inventory software and manufacturing software.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Associate Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar or related position preferred.Minimum high school diploma required. Associate Degree preferredMinimum 7 years related quality assurance experience and training required or equivalent experience.ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) required or equivalent experience. ASQ CQT (Certified Quality Technician) and CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate), CQPA (Certified Quality Process Analysist), and Six Sigma Greenbelt highly desirable.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
