A leading airline is seeking a Safety Manager to coordinate Safety Management System activities and ensure FAA compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, hold a current Mechanic Certificate, and possess excellent organizational skills. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage, monitor, and coordinate Safety Management System (SMS) activities as directed
- Conduct audits of the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) and monitor compliance with FAA requirements
- Identify hazards and perform safety risk assessments, ensuring effectiveness of safety risk controls
- Provide oversight and technical support to auditors and train them on auditing processes
- Perform inspections and surveillance of contractor activities to ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current Mechanic Certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings, held for at least five years
- Minimum of three years of maintenance experience on large airplanes with an air carrier or certificated repair station, including one year as a maintenance inspector
- Ability to obtain and maintain Required Inspection Item (RII) authorization
- Must have a current U.S. Passport or be able to obtain one within three months of assignment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- At least one year of prior experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as Frontier Airlines fleet
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 21, 25, 43, 65, 121, 145, etc.) and Airworthiness Directives
- Familiarity with FAA Flight Standards Information Management System - 8900.1 and SAS DCT checklists
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and IT systems knowledge (TRAX, SCEPTRE, etc.)
- Excellent organization, prioritization, presentation, and report writing skills
