Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Senior Technician, Quality Control for the Fermentation Lab in Kingstree, SC. This onsite role supports culture prep, testing, process monitoring, and quality activities to ensure safe, compliant manufacturing.

The candidate will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to track process parameters, maintain lab standards, and drive operational excellence at the Kingstree facility. A strong safety and GDP culture is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education in biology, microbiology, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field is a plus.
• Ability to perform laboratory testing and analytical procedures with accuracy.
• Experience documenting results per cGMP and GDP guidelines.
• Proficiency with lab equipment including spectroscopy, microscopes, pH meters, balances, and centrifuges.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical, microbiological, and fermentation-related testing to support product quality and manufacturing operations.
• Monitor fermentation parameters, analyze samples, and communicate results to support production efficiency.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab and fermentation equipment while ensuring quality standards.
