Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Quality Audit Supervisor to lead the daily activities of the QA team and drive audit excellence in NY. You will perform internal audits across processes, work with vendors, coach staff, and develop training to boost performance and efficiency.

Strong MS Office and claims knowledge are required, with preference for healthcare lines. The role emphasizes collaboration with HR and leadership on performance management, policy development, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Quality Assurance/Auditing experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong claims knowledge and internal process knowledge preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience conducting audits and root cause analysis preferred.
  • Experience in Performance Management and employee coaching preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, projects, and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of Medicare NY/NJ, Medicaid, Family Health Plus, Child Health Plus, or NH Family preferred.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of the Quality Audit Team.
  • Perform internal quality audits of operational processes for internal employees and outsourced vendors.
  • Monitor inventory and productivity.
  • Coach employees, provide feedback, and conduct performance management.
  • Conduct regular 1x1 meetings to understand team needs and barriers.
  • Develop training materials and ensure new hires and existing employees are onboarded and trained.
  • Partner with internal business partners and vendors on quality audit results, processes, and improvements.
  • Participate in and facilitate quality calibration sessions.
  • Partner with leadership and HR on performance management, compensation planning, staffing, and employee relations issues.
  • Make critical departmental decisions.
  • Communicate work hand-offs with business partners and vendors.
  • Identify defects and improve departmental quality, operational efficiency, and production goals.
  • Assist in developing departmental policies and procedures and review training efficiency.
  • Meet established time frames and performance rates.
  • Prepare reports documenting results and supporting department-level analysis or recommendations.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system enhancements, and projects with Business Operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of Quality Assurance/Auditing experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Claims processing systems, preferably MHS
  • Strong claims knowledge and internal process knowledge preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience conducting audits and root cause analysis preferred
  • Experience in Performance Management and employee coaching preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, projects, and deliverables
  • Knowledge of at least two lines of business such as Medicare NY/NJ, Medicaid, Family Health Plus, Child Health Plus, or NH Family
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills
  • Salary contingent upon work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and other factors
