Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced QA automation leader in Kansas City to drive the definition and validation of requirements and lead advanced automation initiatives.

You will architect frameworks using C#, NUnit, Playwright, and Azure-based data handling to support end-to-end testing within CI/CD workflows. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Seven years of Quality Assurance project management experience across SDLC for enterprise projects.
• Lead QA across full SDLC for enterprise-level projects including backend services, mobile apps, and cross-channel apps.
• Create automation frameworks with UFT, Selenium, Postman, and Playwright for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Mobile app testing and cross-browser compatibility, defect lifecycle management in Agile/DevOps.
• Write and optimize automation scripts with JavaScript and VBScript for scalable test solutions.
• Develop advanced SQL constructs for complex validations and data integrity.
• Perform code analysis to improve test coverage and verify requirements.
• Create process maps and mentor QA staff on automation best practices and testing strategies.

About the Role

Drive the definition and validation of business and functional requirements to ensure applications meet specifications, advanced organizational quality standards and strategic objectives. Lead complex QA automation initiatives by establishing robust strategies, mentoring team members, and championing best practices for scalable, maintainable frameworks. Architect and maintain advanced automated test frameworks using C# with NUnit, Playwright and custom libraries, integrating Azure-based solutions for secure test data management and seamless end-to-end automation supporting CI/CD workflows. Perform API testing, database validations, and workflow analysis for system reliability and data integrity. Apply automation tools and incorporate AI-driven techniques. Lead functional, integration, regression, and system testing across diverse platforms. Oversee test execution, defect tracking, and progress reporting. Coordinate with offshore teams to lead global QA initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related technology field.

Seven years of Quality Assurance project management experience to include:

• Lead QA across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of enterprise-level projects.
• Design and implement highly modular, customer-centric systems including backend services, mobile applications, and cross-channel applications.
• Create automation frameworks with UFT, Selenium, Postman and Playwright for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Mobile App Testing and Cross-Browser Compatibility.
• Defect lifecycle management and traceability within Agile and DevOps
• Write and optimize automation scripts with JavaScript and VBScript for scalable and maintainable test solutions.
• Develop advanced SQL constructs for complex relational validations.
• Perform code analysis to identify potential defects, improve test coverage, and validate implementation against requirements.
• Create process maps, conduct multi-dimensional root cause analyses, and recommend adaptive testing methodologies.
• Mentor QA team members on automation best practices, advanced scripting techniques, and strategic quality frameworks.
