Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Lead Python Engineer to own GitHub Enterprise administration, governance, and reporting across an organization-wide setup. You will build Python automation around GitHub data and improve developer workflows.

You will collaborate with platform and engineering teams to enhance CI/CD integrations, support audit requests, manage licenses, and drive governance across multiple teams, ensuring reliable reporting and scalable automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python experience building operational automation.
• 5+ years of experience administering GitHub Enterprise at scale.
• Strong leadership skills to drive governance and best practices across teams.
• Proven project ownership skills for delivering reliable reporting and automation.
• Expert GitHub API skills for data extraction and workflow automation.
• Strong Git operations skills including branching strategies and access controls.
• Clear communication skills for cross-team coordination and audit support.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).
• Nice to have Google Cloud Platform experience supporting data and platform integrations.
• BigQuery experience building datasets and operational reporting.
• Kubernetes familiarity for platform or tooling integrations.
• Terraform experience managing infrastructure-as-code for platform services.
• Ansible experience automating configuration tasks.

Responsibilities
