Job summary

the company in Richmond Hill, Ontario, CAN, is seeking a Lead Python Developer to advance the SCA data science data intake and pipelines, applying AI/LLM techniques as needed. You will work with a global team to deliver scalable data solutions while guiding best practices in software design and testing.

You will collaborate with teams in Sweden and India, mentor juniors, and own critical data-processing components.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience, with emphasis on Python data pipelines.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Expert-level Python, with focus on clean architecture and rigorous testing.
Strong database and schema design experience for complex systems.
Experience building and optimizing large data pipelines and identifying bottlenecks.
Basic knowledge of Application Security (AppSec) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
Leadership experience coaching juniors and driving technical decisions.
Comfort in distributed, time-zone-spread teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize data pipelines to improve speed, accuracy and automation of data intake.
Enhance data quality and reliability across the SCA data science stack.
Collaborate with cross-border teams (Sweden/India) to deliver impactful solutions.
Lead and mentor junior developers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure robust tests.
