Qualifications

• 6–9 years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on Python.
• Strong familiarity in applying Generative AI capabilities, including prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, and vector stores.
• Data-centric engineering experience building services in a data engineering organization; understands enterprise data systems.
• Proven experience building and scaling software solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).

ATTENTION: This is a hybrid role and looking for this person to currently reside in the DFW Metroplex.

Growing company is seeking a Lead Developer Python, you will build the solutions that power our data-driven future. You will play a pivotal role within the Enterprise Data & Analytics team, improving our ML and modeling platforms, increasing the speed of data product delivery, and driving innovative business solutions alongside partners outside of Technology. Operating as a hands-on individual contributor, you will own the design and implementation of a diverse array of Python-based services which integrate LLM capabilities directly into our ecosystem while serving as a champion for Generative AI.

What will I being doing??

• Governance & Security: Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure all solutions meet enterprise standards for governance, privacy, and ethics.
• Technology Evaluation: Proactively evaluate emerging technologies in the data and AI space to determine their practical viability and business value.

What tools will I need to be successful:

• 6–9 years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on Python.
• Strong familiarity in applying Generative AI capabilities, including common patterns such as prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings & vector stores, and agentic AI.
• Data centric engineering experience building services and tools within a data engineering organization. A "data-first" Python developer who understands the challenges of enterprise data systems.
• Proven experience building and scaling software solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• An enthusiasm for staying current with AI trends and the pragmatic ability to apply them.
• Solid background in DevOps workflows, including Infrastructure as Code, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
