Job summary

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse for Delaware Psychiatric Center is a licensed Nurse Practitioner serving under an administrative supervisor. The role leads a multi-disciplinary treatment team, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and prescribes appropriate treatments while ordering laboratory tests to assess health care needs.

You will provide education and counseling, identify health care problems, and develop care plans with interventions aligned to patient needs.

Qualifications

• Delaware APRN license or temporary permit in Psych/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.
• Develops, implements and/or reviews nursing care plans.
• Provides health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and/or nursing home facilities in the management of their health care needs.
• Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team.
• Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms.
• Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.
