Job summary

Sunstone Therapies in Rockville, MD is seeking a Psychedelic Therapist to deliver patient-centered psychedelic therapy across preparation, treatment, and integration phases. The role involves clinical research and standard care settings with a team of researchers and clinicians.

The candidate should have MD licensure (Maryland, VA preferred), 5+ years in clinical settings with trauma focus, and experience supervising trainees.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in licensed clinical mental health settings with trauma-focused care.
• Must be licensed in Maryland; VA licensure preferred.
• 1+ years of experience providing peer supervision to trainee therapists.
• Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Excellent therapeutic, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of GCP and GDP; HIPAA compliance a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care across preparation, treatment, and integration sessions for psychedelic therapy.
• Deliver care in standard therapy settings such as talk therapy and ketamine therapy.
• Adhere to study protocols and research timelines when involved in clinical trials.
• Follow Sunstone’s SOPs and maintain documentationquality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and researchers.
• Mentor trainee or consultant therapists as needed.
• Lead as primary therapist on clinical trials and liaise with sponsors.
