Job summary

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree is required.
• At least two years of specialized law and litigation experience.
• Admission to and maintenance of licensure in good standing from the State Bar of Montana.

Responsibilities

• Represents the State in complex criminal prosecutions across Montana.
• Conducts legal research and analysis on felony cases and trial strategy.
• Prepares witnesses, conducts pretrial discovery, and drafts briefs and motions.
• Leads prosecution teams, negotiates plea agreements, and handles appeals as needed.
• Works with law enforcement authorities and expert witnesses as required.
