Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking an experienced proposal leader in Ohio to manage a team delivering RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence responses across retirement plan and equity compensation solutions.

The role emphasizes coaching, strategic oversight, and meticulous delivery, with opportunities to enhance proposal technology and drive best-in-class content across Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience in proposal management, RFP development, sales enablement, financial services, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or developing professionals.
• Exceptional writing, editing, project management, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex, deadline-driven initiatives and influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of proposal professionals.
• Provide strategic oversight for complex and high-priority proposals, including win themes and executive messaging.
• Ensure deliverables are persuasive, accurate, compliant, and delivered on time; provide escalation support for critical opportunities.
• Oversee proposal intake, prioritization, staffing, and workload across retirement plan and equity/stock plan services.
• Establish processes for proposal development, review, approval, quality assurance, content governance, and delivery.
• Advance proposal technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, content reuse, and workflow improvements.
• Build partnerships across Sales, Relationship Management, Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Marketing.
• Monitor evolving client needs, market expectations, and competitive trends to strengthen proposal strategy.
