Job summary

The ideal candidate brings 4–6+ years of mechanical engineering design experience, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and a Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years mechanical engineering design experience required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with internal piping processes and/or commercial/industrial structures is a plus.
• Advanced writing and communication skills.
• QA/QC on drawings from drafters, designers, and engineers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in Mechanical Engineering.
• Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
• Assist with proposal development for professional services.
• Provide direction on tasks to engineers, technicians, and staff.
• Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.
• Attend meetings and present components of assignments.
• Work within AutoCAD to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Perform field investigations/site visits as needed.
• Evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques with minor modifications.
• Prepare project plans and specifications.
• Make engineering computations with design accuracy.
• Establish design concepts, criteria and space requirements.
