Job summary

Stantec's Colorado Construction Management Group is seeking a motivated Project Manager with strong heavy civil transportation construction experience. This role can be based anywhere in Colorado, with primary responsibilities on-site to monitor work and guide project teams.

The PM will oversee project controls, inspectors, and admin staff while coordinating with clients on risks, schedule, and cost. Exceptional leadership and knowledge of public works contracting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• PE registration in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10 years’ experience in heavy civil transportation construction, 5 in leadership.
• Colorado DOT/local agency project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management leadership to the project team.
• Serve as Stantec's lead on a contract providing CM oversight to a government agency.
• Manage a diverse group of employees and subcontractors across the contract.
• Monitor and report on schedule, budget, and safety compliance for client approval.
• Develop and implement project safety plans in coordination with contractors.
• Lead preparation and coordination of deliverables, reports, cost and schedule tracking.
• Review contractor change requests and assist in change orders/modifications.
