Bodwé Professional Services Group, located in Laurel, Maryland, is seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager. This role manages complex construction and facility engineering projects at the James J. Rowley Training Center for the U.S. Secret Service.
The ideal candidate has at least ten years of project management experience, a four-year degree in a related field, and must possess strong leadership and communication skills. The position requires on-site management coordination and oversight to ensure quality and compliance with federal standards.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to serve as the designated site lead supporting construction and facility engineering projects at the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), the primary training facility for the United States Secret Service. This role serves as the primary on‑site contact with the government and provides leadership, oversight, and management of complex construction projects across a 490‑acre federal training campus.
The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for directing multidisciplinary construction efforts, managing project execution, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring successful delivery of facility planning, design, renovation, and construction initiatives. This position requires a highly skilled professional capable of independently managing large‑scale commercial and government construction projects while maintaining focus on quality, schedule, budget, safety, and risk management.

This position primarily operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a quiet, climate‑controlled environment. While in the office, there is no regular exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery.
This role also requires periodic travel to project sites, including locations undergoing renovation or active construction. During site visits, the employee may be exposed to non‑temperature‑controlled environments, construction noise, dust, and other typical conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on site conditions. While on site visits, this role may require atypical hours at the request of the client or role demands.
Sitting/Standing: This is not a sedentary role. The role requires the ability to be on your feet at a construction site for most of the day, interacting with contractors and inspecting work.
Walking: Requires moving in various geographical and building terrains to access a construction site.
Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and ladder climbing to inspect all aspects of building construction.
Using Hands/Fingers: Constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptops, keyboards, monitors, phones, scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
Talking/Hearing: Requires constant communication to exchange information and make decisions.
Seeing: Requires the ability to see, view, and distinguish all aspects of construction to ensure quality control.
Carrying/Lifting: Requires lifting up to 30 lbs to transport office and construction equipment.
