Job summary

Wurster Construction in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects, with emphasis on healthcare and educational facilities. You will manage start-up, contracts, scheduling, safety, quality, budgets, and client satisfaction from pre-construction through closeout.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least five years of PM experience, and proven leadership with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least five years of related construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CM, architecture, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, sketches, contracts, and other project documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and building codes.
• Proficiency with Procore and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead project pre-bid and preconstruction activities, coordinating schedules and scopes.
• Manage subcontractors, safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
• Oversee project cost controls, RFIs, changes, and billing processes.
• Maintain detailed project logs and monthly WIP reporting.
• Lead meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors; ensure clear minutes.
