Job summary

Byrne & Jones Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead asphalt and concrete projects in the Nashville market. The role focuses on safety, planning, schedule, cost, quality, and client relationships, from preconstruction through turnover and closeout.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of PM experience in commercial or civil sitework, with strong administration, scheduling, and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• GC or specialty contractor experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management processes and documentation.
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with safety planning and field execution.
• Experience with estimating and preconstruction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own asphalt and concrete projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and lead comprehensive project execution plans.
• Create project-specific safety plans and enforce safety requirements.
• Manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and communications.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, and designers.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans.
• Manage budgets, costs, and profitability.
• Collaborate with field teams to translate requirements into execution.
• Identify changes, price them, and manage change orders.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Build strong client relationships for repeat business.
• Support preconstruction and estimating reviews as needed.
• Identify risks and develop practical solutions.
