Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Project Manager to drive aftermarket power generation projects from planning through execution. You will coordinate with Field Service teams to ensure top-tier customer service and project performance, including budget, schedule, and risk management.

You will collaborate with Product and Service Operations leaders, manage internal processes for materials and services, and interact with engineers on North American projects while potentially traveling to customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent from an accredited university.
• 2+ years of experience in project management in industrial Power Generation or related fields.
• Willingness to travel as required to support order execution (customer visits, kickoff meetings, supplier visits).

Responsibilities

• Identify customer points of contact and build relationships across accounts.
• Deliver aftermarket power generation projects with alignment to value proposition, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate procurement of project materials and services and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with Product and Service Operations Leadership.
• Coordinate with Service Engineers on North America projects.
• Report major KPI’s (on-time delivery, revenue vs. plan, project margin).
• Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation plans.

As a Lead Project Manager, you will be working directly with the Field Service team to provide the highest level of customer service. You will be managing domestic and international power generation projects for aftermarket services. You will have project profit and loss accountability and will be responsible for customer satisfaction through the management of project related activities and resources.

As a Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Identifying proper customer points of contact in each layer of customer accounts and building relationships; fostering customer intimacy.
• Delivering aftermarket power generation projects assuring that the site activities are in line with the value proposition, schedule, and budget.
• Monitoring, coordinating, and expediting all the internal processes for the procurement of project materials and services.
• Close collaboration with Product and Service Operations Leadership.
• Integrating efforts with the Service Engineers and the team active on the Projects in North America.
• Reporting major project KPI’s to leadership such as on time delivery, actual revenue versus planned revenue, project margin.
• Identifying risks and opportunities and developing plans for mitigation and enhancement/growth.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent from an accredited university and 2+yrs of experience in project management.
• Proven records of Project Manager, field service, or contract management in industrial Power Generation
• Travel as required to support order execution. Examples may include Customer visits, External Kickoff or progress meetings, key supplier visits, etc
