Job summary

iO Associates is seeking two Project Engineers to drive VIP/VVIP aircraft completion programmes in Indianapolis, IN. You will take designs from concept through certification, addressing technical issues with shop floor teams and keeping complex aircraft modifications on track.

You will be the technical link between Programme Management, Production, Purchasing, suppliers and the wider engineering team, with VIP cabin experience and a relevant aerospace degree preferred.

Qualifications

• VIP/VVIP aircraft interiors or cabin modification experience required
• 7–10+ years in aircraft completions, certification or engineering project delivery
• Exposure to large-cabin or transport-category aircraft, Part 25 / EASA Part 25 preferred
• Experience managing engineering schedules, resources, costs or risks
• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred; related industry experience welcomed
• Familiarity with MS Project, Excel and AutoCAD beneficial
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering workstream on VIP/VVIP completion programmes
• Coordinate interiors, structures, mechanical, electrical and avionics to deliver integrated solutions
• Collaborate with Production to resolve technical issues and ensure manufacturability
• Partner with Programme Management and Purchasing to align activity with delivery dates and budgets
• Coordinate with external design houses, suppliers and Outside Service Vendors
• Develop engineering data for STC and certification activities
• Keep stakeholders informed on progress, risks, priorities and budget
