Job Description

As a Lead Project Engineer - Technical Program Management at Honeywell Forge & AI, you will help drive the execution of innovative Physical AI solutions that connect AI, software and the physical world. Our teams are applying these technologies to real-world challenges-from reducing energy consumption in buildings to optimizing industrial processes and enabling more autonomous operations.

You will work at the intersection of business and technology, partnering with global Engineering, AI, Product, UX and business teams to translate priorities into executable plans and deliver complex programs successfully.

We are looking for a collaborative, hands‑on program leader who can connect the dots, bring structure to ambiguity, communicate effectively across technical and business teams, and drive execution in a fast‑moving environment.

You will report directly to our Sr. Director of Engineering and you'll work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage multiple complex AI, software and engineering programs from initiation through delivery.
• Drive execution and alignment across a large, global engineering organization, including 10+ Agile/Scrum teams.
• Define program scope, objectives, milestones and deliverables in collaboration with business, product and engineering stakeholders.
• Develop and manage program plans, including timelines, budgets, resources and dependencies.
• Identify and proactively manage program risks, issues, cross‑team dependencies and resource constraints.
• Lead and coordinate global vendors and external engineering partners, ensuring alignment on scope, deliverables, quality and commitments.
• Partner across Engineering, AI, Product Management, UX and business teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and technology execution.
• Develop clear program dashboards, reports and leadership updates, providing visibility into progress, risks, financials and decisions required.
• Drive resource and capacity planning, budget management and forecasting across programs.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business leaders.
• Adapt to changing priorities and bring structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous situations.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management or related roles.
• Proven track record delivering $10M+ large‑scale engineering/software programs on time and within ±5% of the approved budget.
• Experience leading execution across 10+ Agile/Scrum engineering teams, coordinating 30+ engineers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong program leadership, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to resolve critical dependencies and risks and maintain delivery against committed milestones.
• Experience managing resource plans, budgets, forecasts, and program risks across portfolios of $5M+, including headcount planning and quarterly financial forecasting.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams across 3+ time zones and managing execution with external engineering partners/vendors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting program status, risks, dependencies, and financials to both technical teams and senior business leadership.
• Proficiency with program/project management tools, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software‑development practices, including roadmap planning, sprint execution, dependency tracking, risk management, and KPI reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field required; MBA preferred. PMP certification is a plus.
