Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Oxford, NC is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to oversee capital, reliability, automation, and cost-reduction projects from concept through commissioning at the plant.

You will lead multiple initiatives, define scope, develop business cases, and ensure safe, cost-effective, and maintainable solutions aligned with production and quality goals. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Procurement, Finance, suppliers, contractors, and plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Eight or more years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience leading capital projects through all phases from concept to closeout.
• Ability to coordinate across operations, maintenance, technical, and external partners.
• Preferred: PE, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of capital, reliability, automation, capacity, quality, and cost-reduction projects.
• Develop front-end project definitions including business cases and ROI.
• Specify, design, evaluate, and integrate manufacturing equipment and related systems.
• Manage project controls: schedule, cost, risk, and contractor performance.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor selection, and site commissioning and handoff.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout projects.
