Pape-Dawson Engineers in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead engineering design and project delivery for land development. You will own design from concept through construction documents and collaborate with project managers, designers, engineers, clients, and public agencies to balance technical excellence with constructability, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
Minimum 4 years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably land development.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design standards, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with applicable civil engineering design and analysis software.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform engineering design for land development projects from concept to final construction documents.
Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and cost estimates.
Develop and review grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and site development plans.
Coordinate technical design with project managers, internal disciplines, subconsultants, contractors, clients, and agencies.
Review work for technical accuracy and quality; mentor developing staff.
