Job description

As a Lead Project Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of AC and DC generator testing activities and the delivery of high-quality products. You will lead and coordinate a team of engineers to facilitate testing for product development.

You will report directly to the Engineering Test Services (ETS) manager and work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona location.

This role impacts the quality and reliability of our products through effective test engineering practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and define test requirements and specifications, develop and execute test plans and procedures, and analyze test results to provide insights and recommendations for product improvements. Your technical guidance will empower your team to excel and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guide the testing development of electric generators, creating cost estimates, schedules, and milestones for test campaigns.
2. Provide direction and oversight for the test team, ensuring successful project delivery.
3. Prioritize work packages, design goals, and component/system integrations, owning the execution of the programs.
4. Oversee preparation, review, and approval of documentation, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
5. Utilize enterprise-based tools to manage project planning and costs, owning the financial aspects.
6. Ensure development hardware and software meet design objectives across multiple COEs, owning the technical aspects of test programs.
7. Guide a small team of test engineers and technicians, potentially across multiple locations, and oversee their performance.
8. Mentor team members in project scheduling, budgeting, and earned value management, supporting their development.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency.
