Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Architect to shape the future of critical infrastructure across the nation. You’ll lead and collaborate on high‑impact projects—water, wastewater, transit centers, and federal installations—guided by a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, planners, and technical specialists.

You will influence design solutions, mentor emerging professionals, and help deliver projects that make a lasting impact on communities we serve.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required; RA licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee junior staff to plan, program, and prepare design documents.
Develop design criteria with clients and prepare presentations.
Coordinate design documents with architectural and multi‑discipline engineering staff.
Mentor junior staff on multi‑discipline projects and licensure pursuit.
Determine construction materials and detailing methods.
Prepare and edit technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with planning, zoning, and building codes and regulations.
Support development of project budgets and schedules.
Assist in proposal renderings and client responses.
