Frima Studio is seeking a Lead Programmer to guide a multidisciplinary team on co-development projects. Based in Quebec and Montreal with a flexible work model including remote, hybrid, or in-office options, the role offers substantial vacation and benefits.

The position requires 5+ years in game programming, strong C++ and optimization skills, Unreal Engine experience, and fluency in English and French. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in video game programming.
• Experience as a lead programmer or in a lead role.
• Proficiency in C++ and optimization.
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine is a strong asset.
• Experience in mobile game development is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

• Define technical direction to meet project objectives within constraints.
• Coordinate with design, art, and production for smooth integration of components.
• Monitor schedules and adjust timelines as needed.
• Identify and solve technical issues impacting production.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability across platforms.
• Lead regular team meetings to track progress and risks.
• Mentor programmers and support ongoing skill development.
• Collaborate with partners and other leads on best practices and innovations.
